Who we are
This policy applies to Yard Sharks Property Services, LLC (“Yard Sharks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the website at yardsharks.com. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to website@theyardsharks.com or made by calling 817-752-5656.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect the information you provide, including:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and preferred contact method.
- The service address, requested service, job description, access notes, and timing information.
- Photos you choose to upload with a quote request.
- Messages and other information you provide while arranging or receiving service.
Our hosting systems may also create ordinary server and security logs, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and timestamps. We use these logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
How we use information
We use personal information to respond to requests, prepare estimates, contact you about service, create and maintain customer and property records, schedule and perform work, keep business and accounting records, prevent abuse, and protect the website and our business.
Address suggestions
The quote form uses Geoapify to suggest and complete service addresses. When you use the address suggestion feature, the address text you type is sent to Geoapify so matching addresses can be returned. You may also type the address manually if suggestions are unavailable.
Customer records and email
Quote information is sent to our HomeWorks customer-management system and to an internal Yard Sharks email account so our team can respond and manage service records. We may also use hosting, email, address-lookup, and other service providers that process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
Uploaded photos
Photos submitted through the quote form are stored in a protected location. The notification email contains secure, expiring links rather than photo attachments. Those links expire after 30 days, and uploaded photos are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Do not upload sensitive documents or images unrelated to the requested property service.
Selling, sharing, and advertising
At the time this policy was last updated, this website did not use advertising or marketing trackers. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to service providers working for us, to complete a transaction or requested service, to comply with law, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Retention
We keep lead, customer, property, service, communication, and accounting records for as long as reasonably needed to provide service, run the business, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or tax requirements. Uploaded quote photos follow the 90-day schedule described above unless they must be retained longer for a specific service, dispute, safety issue, or legal requirement.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing website@theyardsharks.com or calling 817-752-5656. We may need to verify your identity. We may retain information that is required to complete a requested transaction, maintain necessary business or tax records, protect legal rights, or comply with law.
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no sale or advertising-sharing activity to opt out of. A browser Global Privacy Control signal does not prevent processing that is necessary to respond to a quote or provide a service you request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to submit online.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
