Overgrown Yard: Mowing or Brush Hogging?

Choose the right quote request for tall grass, neglected lawns, rough acreage or a property that needs cleanup before routine mowing.

If the property has become overgrown, start by showing us what is there. Tall lawn grass, rough pasture, woody brush and dumped debris can require different services. The right request helps Yard Sharks plan the visit and equipment before the crew arrives.

Routine lawn mowing

This is the starting point for an established lawn that can be maintained safely with lawn equipment. The confirmed scope can include mowing, trimming, edging where applicable and blowing hard surfaces clean. It is not an automatic quote for every type of vegetation on the property.

An initial yard cleanup

A neglected home lawn may need a separate reset before recurring service. Tell us about tall growth, accumulated debris, limbs, fence-line overgrowth and areas that have been inaccessible. Yard cleanup can be scoped around what needs cutting, removing or hauling away.

Brush hogging and acreage work

For a large field or rough open area, request an assessment for brush hogging. Photographs should show the vegetation, slope, entry point and any known holes, wire, stumps or debris. Equipment suitability must be confirmed before the work is scheduled.

Woody brush and larger clearing

Dense brush, larger growth or a property that needs significant material removal may call for a separate land-clearing scope. Describe the result you want: cut vegetation, removed brush, open access or a lawn that can be maintained afterward. Those are different outcomes.

Send these details with the request

  • The address and approximate area you want worked.
  • Wide views and closer photographs of the growth.
  • Known hazards, debris, buried utilities or irrigation features.
  • Gate access and any areas equipment must avoid.
  • Whether cut material can remain or needs to be hauled away.

Do not enter unsafe growth just to obtain a photograph. Describe known hazards from a safe location so the crew can evaluate the next step.
